Pros: Excellent choice; great alternative to expensive traditional phone
Cons: Some issues getting set up with Mac; eventually solved

Really, really wanted out from under ATT. Had become too dependent on caller ID to continue with just basic phone service (this means local calls only, no frills) to the tune of $25 a month. Did the usual research and decided on PhonePower. Most of the consumer reviews were positive. At some point one just has to trust the force and choose. So far, so good. Please note if your a MAC user with Airport, plug the router directly into the ethernet port not into your cable modem. The tech folks aren't as familiar with Apple products as they are with others. A bit of an effort to setup, including some hair-brained suggestions on how to fix the connection. One very savvy IT guy knew just what to do. Voile' immediate good, clear connection. One of my children will be in Italy this summer. A clear international call will be the icing on the cupcake.

Pros: Great Customer Service, Reliability and Features
Cons: Web site may lag, but rarely used when forwarding options are setup

First of all, I did not have my Lan line in place yet. The rep actually talked me out of the service and had me wait until the LAN line was in place. I thought this was "different" and her response was she wanted to confirm the equipment used and ensure the service would work. I can't remember the last time a sales rep did that. As for reliability, I think it is above what Vonage offered and all calls thus far are very clear. I am very happy so far with customer service and reliability. All calls made to Phone Power have been answered by a person quickly and no dreaded "phone trees".

Pros: Price, sound quality, features, reliability
Cons: None

I have been with Vonage from the beginning just switched a month ago. Phone Power has been great. Easy setup, reliable service, great sound quality. Better than Vonage in every way.

Pros: VOIP Quality, Customer Service A++++, Features, Ease of Use, Fast Setup
Cons: none

I just received my unit and had trouble getting it setup due to my complex network setup. But repeatedly, they called me back asking if i had resolved my issue after calling them the first time. They called me Saturday afternoon and EVEN sunday morning. That is called customer service which is 24 hours a day 7 days a week. So far the difference between VOIP and my normal phone is no difference at all. I do not mind at all paying for great quality service with spectacular customer service. The tech support also conferenced call with me to my DSL provider which was never a possibility with other service that i've had. They also come with many features that i enjoy. I looked at VONAGE, and packet8, but with all the great reviews of this place, felt like giving them a try.

Pros: sound quality and customer service are very good
Cons: website features need some work

The web site offers a few features like "click2call" that, would be really great but unfortunately was dialing the wrong numbers for me. I would click a friends number and get my mom, tried the same one and then got my wife, neither time did I get the number I wanted. customer service seemed really good, I called them after already finished setup just to check the wait time and responce, and was impressed, also their replies to emails we very fast. sound quality is on par with a POTS line, very clear and no lag. I'm hopeing they come out with some software to make teh click2call and voicemail checking easier, but for the price, $9.95 for 6 months, I'm not complaining.

Pros: The rankings above indicate PhonePower's commitment in giving their customers the absolute best product/service.
Cons: Not one thing.

Where do I start?
This company has done something companies of all sorts could only strive for. They were able to port my existing number (from Voip.com) in two weeks. It only takes minutes to speak with a live, intelligent individual if you have a question. Oftentimes companies will align efforts with securing the sale, while neglecting those customers who have already purchased the product/service. The opposite should be true, but you rarely experience it. Want to? Call PhonePower and prepare to be amazed.
Here is what happened when I signed up. I needed some assistance with my Netgear Router, in order to make PhonePower’s device work properly. I would bet that 95% of the competitors would have replied with, “Well, you will need contact your router manufacturer for assistance with this issue. It sounds to me like a firewall problem. Please contact us back after this issue has been resolved.” Sometimes routers need to be configured differently. Expect a few more phone calls and a couple hours of time to find resolution. It was PhonePower’s turn. I was at work, so I shot off an email to their support email address. Less than three hours later, I got a call from a support technician. I felt like I had won the lottery. Why did I get this type of service? Did I have a relative working at the company who recognized my name? The only problem was that I was still at work and unable to effectively trouble-shoot with the tech. After I explained this to him, he suggested that he contact me after work. I told him I would be off in an hour, “Would you be able to call back?” He said, “Sure. I will call you back in an hour.” I’m thinking yeah, right. Maybe I’ll get a call back in a day or two (if I don’t end up calling them back) and then I’ll have to explain the whole situation to a new technician. I got out of work about twenty minutes late that day and my phone rang on my drive home. It was the SAME TECHNICIAN, asking if he had called at an opportune time. I apologized and laughed, not believing the service PhonePower was displaying. I was not at home, so he agreed to contact me in another fifteen minutes, which he did! We quickly worked through the situation and had a resolution in less than 10 minutes! Be aware, you too could get the best service possible, along with the best call clarity and dependability in the market.
My only concern is that if everyone starts to learn about the ‘Best Kept Secret’ in voip history, demand will outweigh supply. Voip customers need most of you out there to continue with lackluster companies, so a few of us who do research can relax in a 5-star atmosphere of the PhonePower experience.

Pros: I guess I said all of this above, fast shipping, great customer service, easy setup, no wasted money on equipment.
Cons: Not really any outstanding.

I would like to say that I had a great experience with Phone Power. The setup was super easy, the shipment came really fast, and when I connected my phone... Wow! This service sounds so clear! My buddy has had voip for years and he sounds like he lives with SpongBob under the sea. NOBODY can tell I'm using voip with me on my Phone Power line! I definately recommend them.
